Meiji 'The Earl Grey Chocolate'

I knew that I got to try this since it's got my favourite tea - Earl Grey and chocolate. It was delicious. The Earl Grey flavour is subtle which is great as it does not cover the flavour of chocolate. The sweetness is just nice unlike some diary chocolate.

It costs SGD$2.60 for a pack of 6 small sticks. Not too costly.

Lunch Menu

Been eating poorly lately. Often, lunch is a piece of bread or some unhealthy chips. On healthier days, it would just be a glass of soy milk. Decided that I need to do something about my diet. So this is today's lunch.

Broccoli with Shimeji Mushrooms

Salmon seasoned with salt, black pepper and cayenne pepper

Rice with Red Quinoa, Corn

Amazing Video

Recently, I downloaded the TED app on my iPad which has made watching their videoed talks ever so easy. I was instantly hooked on the app, making it the most used app. One of the videos that held my interest the longest is this video by Dr William Li titled Can we eat to starve Cancer?

One the reason that it has caught my interest was primarily because I am a Cancer patient (who had recently suffered a relapse) and being able to control the disease (ie Cancer) was something I am very excited about. As often times, I feel that I have absolutely no control my disease and my body. Being able to do so seems heavenly.

Secondarily, Dr William Li talked about angiogenesis (watch the video via TED or YouTube to find out more) and one of the drug (Sutent) used to treat GIST (which I have) was listed on the Angiogenesis Foundation website as an inhibitor for Cancer using the anti-angiogenesis concept.

Thus, I am quite excited to try out my own created "Food Therapy" using the list of foods that can fight cancer in recipes that I like bringing about more control and health back in my life.

I'm also very happy that my kitty Georgie is 90% recovered and is more her bubbly self.
